Partnerships

We collaborate with organisations in the UK and internationally to share the transformative outcomes of our work, support multisector learning and champion a relational approach to mental health treatment and recovery.

We are proud to work with organisations such as TCTC (The Consortium for Therapeutic Communities), INDTC (International Network of Democratic Therapeutic Communities), Central and Cecil Housing Trust, and the Relational Practice Movement. We are members of the Royal College of Psychiatrists' Communities of Communities and are in the process of achieving their 'Enabling Environments' accreditation.

Partnership opportunities

By partnering with us, you can build your organisation's reputation as one that values relational practice and compassionate care and is committed to supporting those experiencing mental distress. There are many ways you can support us, from helping to raise awareness, to team fundraising activities to sponsoring special projects or joining us in charity-of-the-year partnerships.

Our team can help develop a mutually beneficial partnership that aligns with your organisation's objectives while supporting our therapeutic services. For example, we can;

  • Provide talks and training opportunities for your staff in mental health awareness, relational practice and trauma-informed care.

  • Support team building by helping you organise fundraising events like work-based coffee mornings or quiz nights.

  • Offer volunteering opportunities for employees.

  • Offer networking opportunities through special events.

Development of our Experts by Experience Programme

One of our key strategic aims is to increase co-production across CHT by involving our residents in designing, delivering, and evaluating our service delivery, training, and communications and building a peer-support network that will help our residents thrive.

In early 2024, we took an important first step in achieving this goal by employing our first Lived Experience Coordinator, Vikki H, thanks to generous funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. Over the next three years, Vikki will develop our Experts by Experience program to improve our operations, amplify and expand the supportive environments within our communities, and support residents to build confidence and new skills.

Supporting transformative Art Psychotherapy in Eastbourne

We were delighted to receive grant support from the Chalk Cliff Trust to support our Art Psychotherapy programme at our Mount Lodge community in Eastbourne.

Art Psychotherapy is an important part of our therapeutic programme, through which we offer a safe and nurturing space for residents to process difficult emotions, explore histories of trauma, process feelings that may be hard to verbalise, reduce stress and anxiety and improve confidence and self-esteem. Our programme also provides valuable work experience opportunities for trainee art psychotherapists.
