Paul Heseltine (He/Him)

Team Leader, Mount Lodge

Paul joined CHT in 2024 and is responsible for leading and supervising Mount Lodge's Therapeutic Practitioner team, supporting them to feel confident, capable and heard in their roles, and working with them to create a collaborative and supportive environment where staff and residents can thrive.

Before joining CHT, Paul trained as a therapeutic counsellor and has experience working with not-for-profit organisations in East Sussex, providing practical and emotional support for vulnerable people.

What does he love most about his role? The opportunity to support the team and residents meaningfully and be part of a reflective, values-driven culture where emotional insight and professional growth go hand-in-hand. Paul finds it incredibly rewarding to witness people's progress—often through small but significant steps. It's fulfilling to help shape a supportive and therapeutic atmosphere where everyone—staff and residents—feels safe, respected, and empowered. Every day brings new challenges as well as opportunities for learning and connection. The blend of responsibility, empathy, and teamwork makes the role meaningful for him.

Outside of work, Paul loves anything related to space — gazing at the night sky, enjoying a sci-fi film, or diving into books about neutron stars and black holes. On Earth, he loves taking walks along the beach with his wife and dog or getting lost in the rhythm of a live music gig.
